OUR CORE VALUES

NWSL Boston ISA fully embraces diversity, welcoming all individuals and the identities they hold. We welcome members regardless of race, ethnicity, class, ability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or secularity. We are committed to listening to and respecting the voices of our members, striving to reflect and amplify a diverse set of perspectives in all that we do.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Members of NWSL Boston Independent Supporters Association must adhere to both the NWSL Supporters Code of Conduct and the National Women’s Soccer League Fan Code of Conduct.

In alignment with and in addition to these codes, members are also required to uphold the following standards, which reaffirm our core values and are central to our community:

// Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, violence, or any behavior that threatens the safety and dignity of others will not be tolerated. This includes homophobic, racist, sexist, transphobic, ableist, and other harmful language or actions. Fans are expected to support the team positively and respectfully, avoiding derogatory behavior or language.

// Members are expected to act in a manner that aligns with and upholds the core values of NWSL Boston ISA in all interactions, both in person and online. Any actions or statements that conflict with these values, including but not limited to discrimination, stalking, harassment, or promoting bigotry, are prohibited.

// Members are expected to respect the privacy of fellow NWSL Boston ISA members, as well as the owners, employees, and players affiliated with Boston's NWSL franchise. This extends to all NWSL players, staff, officials, and fans. Harassment or violence, including verbal or physical threats, directed at any members, players, team or league personnel, staff, or the public is strictly prohibited.

// Alcohol, cannabis, and other legal substances should be consumed responsibly and only by individuals of legal age. Inappropriate or belligerent behavior at any official ISA or NWSL Boston event will not be tolerated. Such behavior reflects poorly on the organization and negatively impacts the overall experience for others.

// As a member of NWSL Boston ISA, you may have access to confidential information pertaining to NWSL Boston ISA, NWSL's Boston franchise, or the NWSL. Any information shared outside NWSL Boston ISA will be in violation of our Code of Conduct and may result in removal from NWSL Boston ISA.

// Boston ISA members must not lead or encourage inappropriate chants or cheers, including those with hate speech or discriminatory remarks. Chants or cheers targeting individuals or groups based on race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, culture, religion, or disability will not be tolerated.

// Members agree to follow all venue rules, policies, and applicable laws at all official NWSL Boston ISA and NWSL Boston franchise events, including during any organized travel to and from events. This includes adhering to any policies set by event organizers and respecting the codes of conduct established by other supporters groups while in their spaces.

// Only individuals authorized by the Executive Board may speak on behalf of the organization in any capacity, including statements to the press, to team representatives, in online comments, or in private conversations. Members should never imply that their personal opinions represent the official positions of the organization and should ensure their statements, both public and private, are respectful and mindful of the group’s reputation.

// We all share the responsibility of creating a positive and respectful community. If you witness any behavior that goes against our Code of Conduct, please let a board member know. By holding each other accountable, we help ensure that our community remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
